Hot-air balloon flight in Thiene in the province of Vicenza

Have you ever wanted to touch the sky with your finger? A hot-air balloon flight in Thiene, in the province of Vicenza, is your chance to enjoy an experience suspended between dream and reality.

During the hour-long flight you will fly over the enchanting Veneto countryside, admiring from above historic villas, picturesque farms and the mountains on the horizon, all while the sun tints the sky in a thousand different shades.

From the preparation of the hot air balloon to the magical moment of take-off and the unexpected landing, every moment will be charged with emotion and wonder.

What we will do

We will meet 10 minutes before the time confirmed by the pilot in Thiene (VI).

The day will begin with a briefing, during which our experienced pilot will explain safety procedures and the wonders that await us during the flight. We will have the opportunity to watch the balloon inflate and take beautiful photos as the giant balloon takes shape before our eyes.

Once the balloon is ready, we will climb into the basket and prepare for take-off. Almost without realising it, we will begin to lift off from the ground and fly higher and higher, up to an altitude of about 2,000 feet. We will fly over the Thiene countryside, admiring from above the Venetian villas of Palladian architecture and farms that look like small works of art.

From this height, on clear days, we will be able to see as far as the sea, enjoying a breathtaking view with the sun on the horizon. Each balloon flight is unique and unrepeatable: the landscapes we can contemplate will change depending on the direction of the wind, which will add a touch of unpredictability to our adventure.

After about 60 minutes of flight, we will begin our descent towards a landing point that will change according to the wind conditions. Once on the ground, we will be met by a van that will take us back to our starting point.

The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon flight and various transfers, will be approximately 3½ hours.

Who it is aimed at

Hot air ballooning is an activity suitable for everyoneover 130 cm tall and weighing a maximum of 110 kg.

Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult or present a signed release form.

For safety reasons, pregnant women; persons with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from independently climbing into the wicker basket; persons with heart problems and persons who have been diving in the 24 hours prior to the flight or who have recently undergone invasive surgery are not allowed to fly.

Other information

The flight takes place all year round at weekends, weather permitting, and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.

The landscapes that can be seen during the flight may vary, as they depend on the direction in which the wind is blowing.

Important: the take-off time may change depending on the period chosen. The day before the activity, you will receive confirmation from the pilot of the exact meeting time.

Mobile phones and cameras are allowed on board for taking photos and videos. You are not allowed on board with backpacks or bags.

Animals are not allowed on board the balloon.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport (the nearest stop is approximately 10 minutes away on foot). Free parking is available on site.
