Have you ever followed a truffle dog in action?
Get ready to do so in the woods of Valmozzola, in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Let yourself be guided by the infallible nose of Tinker Bell and Maya, and discover lots of curiosities about this prized mushroom.
After the hunt, a delicious truffle lunch or dinner (depending on the time of day) awaits you!
What we will do
The meeting point is Valmozzola (PR), 15 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
Here we will be met by Flavia, the truffle expert guide, together with the three little dogs Trilli, Maya and Ludovica, who will greet us festively. Their infallible nose is a combination of nature and training: theLagotto Romagnolo, in fact, is a breed specialised in truffle hunting.
Before getting down to business, the guide will give anintroduction to the world of truffles and the different types. We will then begin the search in the facility's truffle ground, interacting first-hand with Tinker Bell and Maya and motivating them to 'hunt' with some small prizes.
The trail in the truffle ground stretches for about 2 km and can continue in the surrounding woods for an even more complete experience. Immersed in the vegetation of theTuscan-Romagna Apennines, we will follow the truffle dogs closely until they lead us to the treasure, which we will unearth with our own hands.
Depending on the season, we may find black summer truffles or hooked truffles. The search for truffles may last between an hour and an hour and a half (depending on how much we manage to find!) and will end with our return to the base.
Back at the base, it will be time to relax and enjoy the fruits of our labour. We will sit down in the facility'shome restaurant and delight our palate with a truffle-based lunch or dinner (depending on the time of day): starter, first course, main course and dessert, excluding drinks, all prepared with seasonal products.
The total duration of the activity will be about 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 7. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Good mobility is required for walking during the activity.
For children up to the age of 10 , dinner will only include one course.
Other information
The activity is available from May to November and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.
You must communicate any allergies, food intolerances or vegetarian or vegan preferences to the contacts indicated in your booking confirmation email.
Long trousers and high hiking boots are recommended; if unsuitable clothing is worn, the activity will not be possible.
Dogs are not allowed in this experience.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. On request, a pick-up service can be arranged from Solignano train station at an extra cost of €20, to be agreed with the organisers after booking confirmation.
There is free parking and a B&B for those interested in overnight accommodation.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
