Full description
Truffle.
To convince you, we could have mentioned just this one ingredient. But below you will find the entire recipe for a perfect truffle hunt: a dedicated truffle hunter in the company of his trusty truffle dog, the natural backdrop of the Pietralunga forest, a black truffle lunch that you will have extracted yourself!
All this by participating in our exclusive experience of over 4 hours, reserved for you and your group of truffle lovers.
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Pietralunga (PG). To welcome you there will be me, a truffle hunter, in the company of my inseparable truffle dog!
After the first 10 minutes of introduction, the real adventure will begin: we will walk along a ring-shaped route through the Pietralunga forest, a wooded area characterised by oaks, junipers and hazels whose roots favour the growth of truffles. I will pass on all my knowledge and passion on the subject: I will explain where the truffle grows, which laws regulate its search, and what prize the dog deserves for finding the 'treasure'. I will also hand you an information brochure on the black truffle, the protagonist of this experience: you will learn what the different varieties are and at what time of year you can find them.
All this while my trusty friend will sniff and start digging; once the truffle is found, you can help meextract it with the spade! This first part of the experience will last about 1 hour and 15 minutes, at the end of which we will deliver the truffles to the restaurant that will prepare our lunch.
After a brief explanation on the use of truffles in cooking, from how to wash them to how to slice them, you will have some free time to spend waiting for lunch: you can visit a nearby farm or reach the village of Pietralunga, which is a couple of kilometres away.
Lunch (included) will begin at about 12.30 p.m.: the menu includes bruschette with truffle oil and sauce, truffle omelette, and truffle tagliatelle, all topped with fresh truffles from our hunt! Dessert, water and wine will not be missing.
The exclusive experience will last a total of 4½ hours.

There is a car park on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Leashed dogs may participate in the activity if they are polite enough not to interfere with the truffle dog.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
