If you want to put your talent to the test, here is a truffle hunt not to be missed! In the company of a truffle hunter and his lagotto, you will stroll through the forests of the Upper Tiber Valley in search of this precious mushroom.
Will you succeed in winning the spoils?
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Citerna (PG), in the Upper Tiber Valley. Waiting for us will be the truffle hunter with his inseparable Lagotto.
Having gathered all the participants, we will begin our walk in the truffle ground , amidst lush hazelnut trees that provide the ideal terrain for the growth and collection of truffles.
During the search, the truffle hunter will give us some practical pointers and tricks of the trade on how to find our way around the truffle ground, adding a few curiosities about this prized (and delicious! ) mushroom.
For those who wish, it will be possible to actively participate in the extraction of the truffle with a spade, making the experience even more enthralling.
Once we have conquered our 'treasure', we will return to the meeting point. The truffle found will remain the property of the truffle hunter, but it will be possible to purchase it on site upon request.
The experience will last approximately 1 hour .
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone; children from 0 to 3 years old can participate free of charge accompanied by an adult.
Good mobility is required to participate.
Other information
Important: the activity is also confirmed in the event of rain; if conditions are not suitable for the experience, the guide will inform you. The experience takes place all year round with a minimum of 2 people.
Dogs are allowed during the activity on request only: contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to request the possibility of bringing your four-legged friend.
It is possible to buy the truffle harvested or go to the organiser's shop about 10 minutes' drive away to purchase other truffle products.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
