You may have tasted the famous amaretti biscuits of Mombaruzzo. .. but what about its truffle?
Yes, this precious mushroom is hidden under the vineyards of Monferrato, and you will go in search of it in the company of a professional truffle hunter.
You can then complete the experience with a tasting lunch based on traditional Piedmontese dishes accompanied by 4 glasses of wine from the Vini Piana winery.
What we will do
The meeting point is at 10. 30 a. m. at the Piana Winery in Mombaruzzo (AT) . We will be welcomed by the truffle h unter and his faithful truffle dog, ready to guide us in this search.
We will stroll through the vineyards adjacent to the winery for about 1 hour, learning the secrets of this ancient craft: the types of truffle, the harvest periods, the special bond between the truffle hunter and his dog.
At the end of the hunt, we will return to the farm for a 4-course lunch: eggs in cocotte, tajarin 30 yolks, hunchback cardoon flan with fondue and cream ice cream, perfect to accompany the freshly harvested truffle (not included, to be paid for locally) . Each course will be accompanied by a different wine from the Vini Piana wine cellar, for a total of 4 glasses.
The total duration of the experience is approximately 2½ hours , depending on how long we stay for lunch.

The wine tasting is for adults only.
The experience is not suitable for persons with mobility problems.

The activity is available all year round and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
The truffle harvested can be purchased on site from the truffle hunter; the cost will be calculated according to the market price established by the Alessandria-Asti Chamber of Commerce.
Dogs are not allowed during the experience.

There is free parking for guests on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
