Want to take a breather... from Milan? Get away from the city and get ready for an aquatic adventure in Vigevano!
Paddle down the Ticino river in a two-seater kayak and paddle for 2 hours to discover the Parco Lombardo della Valle del Ticino, together with an expert guide.
Explore the nature of Europe's first river park, enjoying the fresh air and the day in the open air. You won't miss the City , guaranteed!
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Vigevano (PV), 10 minutes before the start time.
Here we will meet our guide, who will give a briefing on the basic techniques for paddling correctly. After familiarising ourselves with the kayak, we will start paddling the canoe slalom course, a specially designed area for practising.
Once familiar, we will begin the descent along the course of the Ticino river. We will paddle peacefully along the river on board two-seater kayaks, exploring the most picturesque corners of the Parco Lombardo della Valle del Ticino. During the approximately 7 km route, the guide will tell us about the history and biology of the park: we will be able to observe the incredible variety of fauna that inhabits the area, including several species of birds and fish.
After about 2 hours of water activities, we will reach the historic dock of Vigevano. Here we will conclude our adventure and board the guide's minibus to return together to the starting point, where we can change at the end of the experience.
The activity will last about 3 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 6 years of age. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on board the kayak.
Swimming skills are required.
The maximum weight for participation is 110 kg.
Other information
The experience is available on weekends from April to July and from September to October and is confirmed when a minimum number of 3 participants is reached.
There are toilets, changing rooms, outdoor showers and a storage room for personal belongings at the meeting point.
It is strongly advised not to take your mobile phone with you on the descent. The guide will take photos that will be sent digitally to participants in the days following the activity.
Dogs are allowed to participate in this activity, but it is necessary to inform the guide of their presence in advance. Life jackets for dogs are available for hire on site at a cost of €10.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; there is free parking on site.
