Akayaking adventure for those who love water sports and for those who still know how to marvel at the beauty of nature, a panacea for those who need to regenerate from city stress.
An excursion guide will take you paddling on the Cavata river and introduce you to an ecosystem rich in biodiversity.
A kayaking tour that is easy and suitable for everyone , culminating with an aperitif of local products, to be enjoyed comfortably aboard your boat, so that you don't have to interrupt your relaxation even for a moment!
What we will do
We will meet at the source of the Cavata river, in the municipality of Sermoneta (LT). The guide will hand us the kayaks, paddles and life jackets. A short introductory briefing and we will be ready to board and set off.
Paddling leisurely , we will cross the waters of the Cavata river, which once served as a trade route between Rome and Terracina. Until recently, this river was a swamp, but thanks to reclamation works it has become navigable again and has revealed a rich biodiversity.
We will have the opportunity to encounter different aquatic species such as albino nutria, water fowl and alligator turtles. The guide will describe the natural features of the place and the events of a historical figure that took place here (you will only find out who he is at the end!).
Then we will take a break in the middle of the river to sit on the trunk of a tree protruding from the bank and recharge ourselves with all the regenerating power of nature!
At the end of the river walk we will return to the source, but before getting out of the kayak we will enjoy some more relaxation with an aperitif kept cool in the river's spring water. The aperitif consists of a package prepared by a local wine cellar, including homemade bread, olives, local cold cuts and cheese, and a bottle of organic wine.
The activity will last 3 hours in total for a 4 km kayak trip.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 8 years old and up. No previous experience is necessary, good aquatics skills are sufficient.
Other information
This activity can be carried out from April to October, weather permitting, and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 4 participants.
Should the minimum number of 4 participants not be reached, the excursion can still be carried out on request at a higher price. Please contact us privately for more information.
The excursion takes place on single or double kayaks, which will be assigned by the instructor according to the preferences and/or abilities of the participants.
The day before the excursion, the instructor will send you a recap on the activity including theprecise address for the meeting point.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
