Important warning: you might fall in love with Salento... from a kayak!
Climb aboard and get ready to paddle along the Gallipoli coastline to admire from the sea the Montagna Spaccata, a rocky stretch of coastline with a small cave, and the Quattro Colonne.
A fun 2-hour adventure, together with a guide, to experience Salento in a different way!
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before the indicated time in Gallipoli, at Conchiglie-Alto Lido (LE).
The guide will welcome us with a brief presentation of the tour and provide us with all the necessaryequipment: kayak, paddle and life jacket. We will begin with a briefing of about 20 minutes, during which we will learn the basics of paddling.
Once on board our kayaks, we will begin paddling at a relaxed pace. If sea conditions permit, we will head towards Quattro Colonne and Montagna Spaccata, a rocky stretch of the Salento coastline with a small cave that we can admire from the kayak.
Alternatively, we can take the opposite direction towards Gallipoli, paddling between sand dunes and stretches of spontaneous vegetation alternating with quiet coves. There will also be a stop offshore to experience the thrill of being surrounded only by blue.
During the tour we will also learn to take care of the nature around us, collecting and bringing back to shore the rubbish found in the sea. We will end the tour by returning to the starting point, after having covered about 2 km.
The activity will last a total of 2 hours, including the initial briefing.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable from the age of 14 for those who wish to paddle independently. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
A maximum of two children aged between 4 and 13 years per group may participate as passengers in double kayaks. Children aged 4 to 9 do not pay, while children aged 10 to 14 pay half price.
Confidence in the water is required.
The maximum weight per participant is 100 kg.

The activity takes place from April to November.
The touritinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
Six single sit-in kayaks and two double sit-on-top kayaks are available. The double kayaks can carry 1 adult and 1 child.
Changing rooms and a space to leave your personal belongings are available at the meeting point.
You may participate with your dog, provided it is small and only in double kayaks. Please inform the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport during the summer months; free parking is available on site.
