What lies behind the Mona Lisa's smile? In Freedome, rumour has it that she had just finished a kayak tour of Ponte Buriano, pictured right behind her.
Hypothesis aside, what is certain is that our guide awaits you in the Arno Nature Reserve for two hours of fun and relaxation to discover this corner of medieval Tuscany!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Ponte Buriano-cincelli, a hamlet of Arezzo (AR). We will be welcomed by the guide who will provide us with the necessaryequipment and give us a briefing of about 10 minutes on the safety rules to be observed during the experience.
We will then be ready to set off on this kayak tour! We will paddle along the banks of theArno, more precisely in the Ponte Buriano and Penna Nature Reserve, immersed in a protected river environment where calm water stretches, tree-lined banks and historical monuments such as theiconic medieval bridge portrayed by Leonardo da Vinci in the Mona Lisa alternate.
During the approximately 1.5-hour trip, with a bit of luck, we will have the chance to spot herons, cormorants, kingfishers and even roe deer and other animals on the bank.
We will then return to the meeting point. The activity will last about two hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 8 years of age. Minors may participate together with a participating adult.
To participate it is recommended to know how to swim but not necessary as life jackets will be provided.
Other information
The activity is available from May to August and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
Changing rooms and showers are available on site. Any personal items must be left in the car or waterproof bags are available to store them in on request.
The organiser has single and double kayaks available, you can contact him at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to reserve your place on the type of kayak you prefer.
Dogs are not allowed during the activity.
Free parking is available on site and the meeting point can be reached by public transport.
During the weekend, it is possible to book refreshments at the Pro Loco of Castelluccio by contacting the organiser.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
