The kayak tour conveys all the magic of the Riserva dello Stagnone, an evocative and timeless place.
We will sail in the warm, placid waters of the lagoon, in a natural landscape of rare beauty, where white salt pans and windmills frame the enchanting scenery. The spectacle of the setting sun, ranked among the most beautiful in the world, enriches the afternoon tour.
Marsala's Stagnone Lagoon Reserve was ranked first in the special Expo ranking of the 2014 census.
What we will do
The excursion includes sailing in the quiet waters of the Marsala lagoon, within the Stagnone Nature Reserve. The route reaches the island of Santa Maria, with its unusual golden beaches, Isola Grande and Isola Schola, the smallest island of the Stagnone, now abandoned by man and taken over by seagulls.
The itinerary also includes a landing on the island of San Pantaleo, the site of the Phoenician colony of Mozia, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. There will be several stops for refreshments and consumption of various typical Sicilian products; it is not necessary to bring your own packed lunch.
The activity lasts a total of 5 hours (which includes about an hour of preparation and pre-hike briefing).
Who it is aimed at
The route is very safe, both because of its short length (about 5 miles) and the calmness of the waters, so it is practicable even for first-time kayakers. The minimum age is 10 years.
Other information

You should bring sports clothing, preferably synthetic or wool (cotton will feel cold when wet), sea-rock shoes, a change of clothes for later, sun cream, a hat and bottled water.
