Full description
Set off on akayak excursion to discover the Costa dei Trabocchi, the characteristic stretch of Abruzzo coastline named after the ancient fishing machines on stilts.
You will move among sandy shores, steep rocks and emerald waters as you discover and savour the beauty of this area rich in nature and seafaring traditions.
Together with our expert guides you will learn how to paddle properly and enjoy the activity in total peace and safety.
What we will do
We will meet at the Gualdo waterfront in San Vito Chietino (CH). Here we will meet the guides who will hand over the equipment and give us a briefing on paddling techniques and safety rules.
We will then begin paddling to Punta dell'Acquabella, where one of the most beautiful coves of the Costa dei Trabocchi is hidden. Along the way, we will admire several trabocchi, and we will be able to discover their history and functioning thanks to the guide's stories.
The itinerary will touch the most beautiful bays and beaches in the area and will vary in length from 5 to 7 km, depending on the participants' libel, for a total excursion duration of about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone and is also recommended for families with children aged 4 and under; children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
The maximum weight allowed is 100 kg.

Attention. You must arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes in advance.
The activity takes place from May to September, weather permitting.
The excursion will be carried out in a two-seater kayak with two possible family arrangements
- two adults and one child max. 13 years old
- two adults and two children max. 10 years old
If thereis only one passenger, he/she will paddle on a kayak together with a guide, who will be at his/her sole disposal. If you intend to participate alone, please inform the guide at the contact details you received in your booking confirmation.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
