Did you think truffles simply appeared by magic on gourmet plates? Behind every single fragrant nugget lies the meticulous work of exceptionally keen noses and tireless paws!
With this experience, you’ll get to train Lagotto dogs alongside a dog trainer, take part in a hunt for white or uncinato truffles, and enjoy a fantastic tasting session.

What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Sarezzano (AL). Waiting for us there will be the dog trainer and his Lagotti Romagnoli, ready to welcome us and reveal all the secrets behind their incredible sense of smell!
We’ll drive to the training ground, where the first part of the experience – lasting around 40 minutes – will begin. The trainer will explain how the bond between dog and handler is formed and how a hunting dog is trained. We’ll also be able to compare how a puppy and an adult dog react to the training. Once we’ve bonded with the Lagotti who’ll be accompanying us on this adventure, we’ll do a few exercises to put what we’ve learnt into practice.
We will then head to a nearby copse, where we will follow a path of about 1 km to simulate a real truffle hunt: we will watch the dogs scour the ground in search of truffles (either fresh or buried specifically for this purpose) , and admire the fruits of our labour. This stage will last around 30 minutes.
Once the session in the woods is over, we’ll return to the starting point to enjoy a delicious tasting (included) of truffle-based products, accompanied by a good glass of wine.
The activity will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for everyone, with no age restrictions. Children under 18 may only take part if accompanied by a responsible adult.
This activity is not accessible with pushchairs.
This activity is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.

The activity is available all year round and is confirmed once a minimum of four adult participants has been reached.
Dogs are not permitted.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
