If for you 'snowplough' is only the one that blocks traffic in the morning, it is because you have not yet tried it on the slopes.
In Santa Caterina Valfurva, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, a private lesson with a dedicated instructor is waiting for you. It is the quickest and most effective way to learn to ski or perfect your technique, because the programme is built just around you: you will have the full attention of the instructor, total safety and a learning path tailored to your objectives.
When booking, you will also be able to choose the duration of the lesson and whether to do it alone or with 2 other friends of the same level.
What we will do
The appointment is at the meeting point in Santa Caterina Valfurva (SO), where we will be welcomed by the ski instructor who will follow us throughout the lesson. Before setting off, we will share our objectives: learning to balance, correcting technique or refining style, depending on our level.
The beauty of a private lesson is that there is no script: you will build the programme together with your instructor. If you are a beginner, you will work on snowploughing and basic movements; if you are already familiar with skis, you will focus on more precise turns, speed and fluidity. And for those aiming even higher, there is also room for freeride or freestyle.
You can choose the formula you prefer: 1 hour or 2 consecutive hours for a taster, half a day (3 hours from 9 a.m. to 12 noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) to get into the swing of things, or a full day (7 hours from 9 a.m.) to experience the mountain without rushing. In any case, the lesson will always be tailored to you and your objectives.
At the end you will return to the valley with more confidence on skis, some new skills in your pocket and, above all, the desire to get right back on the slopes!

Private ski lessons are intended for skiers of all levels, from 4 years of age.
For mini-group lessons, it is required that all participants are at the same level.
Other information
Lessons take place every day, throughout the day. When you book, you can choose the option that suits you best, with the choice of taking lessons individually or in small groups of up to 3 participants of the same level.
Please note! Ski equipment and ski passes are not included; please remember to arrange these yourself before the experience begins. There are shops at the cable car base where you can hire equipment.
Prices vary depending on the season:
- Low season: All weekdays from Monday to Friday from 09/12/2026, excluding the days included in the Season and High Season, as indicated below;
- Season: All weekends from 12 December 2026 to 11 April 2027; St Ambrose’s Day: 4–5–6–7–8 December 2026; from 21 to 24 December 2026; from 1 February 2027 to 5 February 2027 and from 22 February 2027 to 26 February 2027; Easter from 25 March 2027 to 29 March 2027;
- High Season: Christmas from 25 December 2026 to 6 January 2027; Carnival from 6 February 2027 to 21 February 2027.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
