Yessir captain, we are talking to you!
This is the title by which they will have to call you after you take part in our introductory sailing lesson: a CONI instructor will teach you theoretical and practical notions, experiencing life on board a sailing boat off the coast of Marina di Carrara.
A 3-hour experience that will end with an aperitif for the whole 'crew'!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Marina di Carrara (MS). I am the skipper and your CONI instructor on this day, and I will welcome you on board my sailing boat!
The boat is the Dufour 44 Performance sailing boat, 14 metres long; it is equipped with 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers, an outdoor shower, a large sundeck at the bow, and a shaded area. But you who have chosen to participate in this sailing lesson will be interested in more rigging and sails such as an oversized mast, batten mainsail, furling jib and gennaker.
Once all passengers have finished boarding, we will set sail in the direction of the Cetacean Sanctuary or the Gulf of Poets. During the course of the sailing trip, we will hold a theory lesson, giving you all the useful information about knots, gaits and winds, and a practical lesson to let you experience life on board.
Once offshore, there will also be the possibility of a swim stop using the snorkelling mask provided to greet the inhabitants of the seabed. An aperitif (included) of snacks and drinks will also be served on board to toast the skippers of the future!
We will finally return to the rendezvous point, for a total experience lasting 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 10 and up; children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate in this activity, but a minimum of familiarity with water is required.
People with reduced mobility and/or cardiovascular diseases cannot participate in this activity.
If you suffer from seasickness, it is advisable to prevent it by ingesting appropriate tablets before the experience takes place.

The experience is available from April to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
The lesson takes place subject to weather and sea conditions at the organiser's discretion.
There is a car park on site.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
On board you remain barefoot or with your own white rubber-soled shoes, if any.
Dogs are not allowed on board.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
