There are many sports that can be done in the water and one of the most fun and fascinating is Stand Up Paddle.
If you love the sea and this discipline has always attracted you, then a one-hour SUP lesson in Santa Maria al Bagno in Salento is just the thing for you... Especially if you are a beginner.

What we will do
We will meet at the appointed meeting place in Santa Maria al Bagno (LE), where we will get to know the instructor who will give us our first SUP lesson.
The lesson is aimed at beginners, who will thus get to know a whole new world, that of Stand Up Paddle. In this way, we will learn the basics of this fascinating discipline that blends together the best of surfing and canoeing.
The lesson is divided into three parts. We will be on the beach for the initial fundamental explanations. The instructor will teach us the basic techniques of paddling and reveal the tricks for staying balanced on the board as quickly as possible.
We will then do our first practice and only when we are ready will we enter the water. And if we are not quite perfect on our first attempt, it doesn't matter! We will still be able to have fun.
Finally, the more enthusiastic will be able to learn some more advanced techniques and go on a short mini-hike in the surrounding area.
The lesson lasts an hour and a quarter.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone and especially at beginners and novices, as no experience is necessary.
The minimum age for participation is 8 years. Minors require parental authorisation.

The activity is available from May to October every day.
The meeting place can also be reached by public transport.
Participants can take their personal belongings with them on the sea trip, such as documents and mobile phones (placed in watertight bags provided by the guide).
