Villages, art, culture and. .. good food! Get ready for a food and wine journey to discover Assisi and its traditions.
You are officially invited to the SAIO winery to enjoy a typical Umbrian lunch based on local dishes paired with 5 glasses of wine.
A gourmet experience that you can conclude with a walk in the vineyard with a panoramic view of the Basilica of San Franceso and the city!
What we will do
The appointment is at the indicated time at the SAIO Winery in Assisi (PG) . We will be welcomed by the winery staff, who will seat us in the dedicated tasting room .
Lunch will include a guided tasting of a selection of 5 SAIO Assisi wines (fruity and intense white and red wines) accompanied by typical Umbrian dishes such as: mixed hors d'oeuvres (legume salad, bruschetta with homemade extra virgin olive oil, homemade pecorino and caciotta cheeses, torta al testo and typical cold cuts) homemade porchetta di Costano and finally a traditional dessert.
At the end of lunch, we will have plenty of time to enjoy a walk through the estate's vineyards, olive groves and oak trees, following a route lasting about 30 minutes in which you will find information boards on viticulture and the history of the winery among the rows.
The experience will last about 1½ hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits. Wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age.
Children can participate at a reduced cost including soft drink or free of charge up to the age of 5.
The experience is also accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.

Dogs are allowed during the experience subject to prior notification to the organiser.
The winery is located approximately 1. 5 km from the outer walls of Assisi. It is suggested to reach it by private car, taxi, or bicycle, and not on foot, since part of the street has no pavement.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
