They say that to win someone’s heart, you have to win their stomach first. And this tasting lunch on the slopes of Vesuvius seems just the way to hit the spot!
Head to Cantine Olivella, take a seat at the table and enjoy a tasting menu paired with four glasses of wine. You’ll soon feel those butterflies in your stomach!
What we will do
Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time at Cantine Olivella in Sant’Anastasia (NA), a historic winery situated on the slopes of Vesuvius.
We’ll start with a guided tour of the winery, during which we’ll learn about the family’s history and the native grape varieties, which have been grown ungrafted for four generations.
Once the tour is over, we’ll take our seats in the tasting room, which features an open-plan kitchen and sweeping panoramic views of Mount Somma, where we’ll be served our lunch.
The tasting menu, curated by the resident chef, includes: a tasting of Cantine Olivella extra virgin olive oil accompanied by sourdough bread, a seasonal Vesuvian starter, a first course of spaghetti or broken candele pasta with Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP cherry tomatoes, and finally a dessert featuring our own Pellecchiella del Vesuvio apricot jam. To accompany the courses, we will enjoy four glasses of wine:
- Hèbon “Spumante Metodo Classico”
- Emblema “Vesuvio Caprettone DOP”
- Katà “Catalanesca del Monte Somma IGP”
- Vipt “Vesuvio Piedirosso DOP”
The experience will last approximately 2 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
This experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over, as the wine tasting is restricted to adults only. Any accompanying minors aged between 7 and 17 may take part in the experience at a reduced rate, whilst children aged 6 and under may participate free of charge.
The venue is not accessible to people with mobility issues or pushchairs.

The experience is available all year round.

Dogs are not permitted at any stage of the activity.
There is ample free parking on site. The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
