Full description
Live a unique experience, the Sentiero Torti mountaineering trek, high above Lake Garda.
Halfway between a via ferrata and a climbing route, it could be compared to a mountaineering route where some rope manoeuvres are required to proceed safely, a steady footing and some exposure.
If you don't lack courage, book the hike and enjoy the breathtaking panorama!
What we will do
The meeting is at 9.00 a.m. near Arco, in the province of Trento. Here we will meet the Alpine Guide and head together to Pregasina, about 15 minutes' drive away.
Once there, we will begin the descent by road to reach the actual start of the Sentiero Torti (Torti Path). The trail, also known as 'dei Contrabbandieri' (smugglers' trail), was built as a track for the construction of a road, but the project was later abandoned. It is said that the trail was then used by smugglers to circumvent the Austro-Hungarian border during the First World War.
We will therefore wear a helmet and harness (included in the fee) to enable us to proceed safely. The route is a real mountaineering route, not particularly difficult but very exposed. In fact, the route winds along a long ledge overlooking Lake Garda, which offers us an incomparable view.
In the company of the guide, we will walk for about 4 hours along more or less easy stretches, alternating between exposed and exciting passages. The first part is the most exposed, while about halfway along we will come across a path with sparse vegetation where we can take a short break. Finally, we will resume our descent towards Pregasina.
The activity has a total duration of about 6 hours and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of medium difficulty and is aimed at all hikers who want to add some 'spice' to their walks. It is required to be in good health, have a steady step and a minimum familiarity with rope manoeuvres and progression. It is also not recommended for those who suffer from vertigo.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
