Full description
When darkness falls, the noises disappear and only the crunch of snow underfoot remains. It is the perfect time to snowshoe in the woods of Sappada!
In this night-time experience of about 2 hours, you will walk with a head torch through pastoral roads, small mountain huts and mountain lakes, in the company of a local guide.
And the stars will make your adventure even more magical!
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Sappada (UD). Here we will meet up with our instructors and guides, who will accompany us on this night-time snow adventure!
Before setting off, we will be given snowshoes, poles and head torches (included) . Once we are ready, we will participate in an introductory briefing: the guide will give us some notions about winter Nordic walking, cold management, safety in a snowy environment and the peculiarities of the area.
We will then start our snowshoe hike along whitewashed pastoral roads, passing by the Mondschein hut. The torchlight will make the Digola forest even more fascinating: the guide will tell us curiosities about this environment and about the Vaia storm of 2018, which left a clearly visible mark here.
We will continue on an easy and almost entirely flat route, with only one short final ascent, until we reach the Ziegelhütte lake, where we will stop to listen to the silence of the forest and admire the light reflecting on the snow. The route will be about 4 km long, with 150 m of positive altitude difference.
The experience will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone aged 8 years and over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The activity is of an easy level and suitable for a first snowshoeing trip. The route has no exposed sections.
Other information
The experience takes place from December to March and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 8 participants.
Duration and itinerary may vary according to snow and weather conditions and participants' abilities, at the guide's discretion.
Dogs are not allowed.
There are free and paid parking spaces in the area, but in high season availability may be limited, so it is advisable to arrive early. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport in the evening.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
