What we will do

The meeting place is in the province of Alessandria. Upon arrival, we will be welcomed by the truffle hunter and get to know the splendid truffle dogs. Immediately afterwards, aboard our car, we will reach the place from where theexciting night hike will begin.

Before venturing into the meanders of the forest equipped with a equipped with a torch, we will make an introduction to the world of truffles, during which we will learn about the characteristics and curiosities of this prized fungus, the most suitable dogs for searching and their training, as well as the terrain in which truffles grow, the so-called 'pastures'.

After this first phase, the actual search will begin. This excursion is different and unique because it takes place takes place in the total absence of light. We will be enveloped in silence and the only sounds we hear are those of nature and our footsteps along the path. path.

During the search, the guide will accompany us with other curiosities about the world of truffles and, if we are lucky, we will be able to admire them freshly extracted from the earth. The activity lasts about 2 hours and a half, at the end of which we will return to the starting point.

The excursion can be booked from September to December, the white truffle period, and from June to August, the black truffle period. black truffle.

The search will take place in a secret natural truffle ground, also known as a "pasture". To preserve the delicate truffle environment, the meeting point will be announced a few days before the activity.

This is not an educational tour where truffles are hidden, but a real truffle search, an experience rooted in local tradition that we will have the honour of sharing with the truffle hunter. For this reason, there is the possibility of finding not white or black truffles, but some less prized types of truffles.
