Set off on anexciting adventure on Mount Etna, hike over extinct craters, visit lava caves and enjoy a wonderful view of the Ionian coast.
Climb to high altitude aboard a private off-road vehicle and then take an easy trekking route together with a dedicated Volcanological Alpine Guide who will help you discover all the secrets of Europe's largest active volcano.

What we will do
We will be picked up at 9:00 am at our accommodation in theCatania or Taormina area. By transfer, we will reach Viagrande, a small town at the foot ofMount Etna. The volcanological guide will welcome us and, after a brief introductory briefing, we will be ready to set off on our private off-road adventure.
On board the 4x4 , we will climb up the winding slopes of the volcano, stopping every now and then to admire the landscape and listen to the guide's stories. At an altitude of about 1,900 metres, we will get out of the 4x4 to begin a 3-kilometre-long trek with little altitude difference.
Still accompanied by the guide's information, we will cross the extinct craters and visit a lava flow cave, inside of which ice stalactites form during the winter, making the environment even more impressive.
All around we will be surrounded by the fascinating landscapes of the volcano, the brown earth contrasting with the green vegetation and the blue sky and sea. After the panoramic tour and the visit to the cave, we will return to the starting point by off-road vehicle. In total, theexclusive activity will last about 5 hours.

This activity can be booked all year round, weather permitting, and is confirmed when a minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
Up to 8 participants can ride in each jeep.
Children up to the age of 4 travel free of charge. It is possible to request child seats or booster seats (free of charge).
A free pick-up/drop-off service is available; to use this service, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to arrange a meeting point for the transfer.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
