Full description

What we will do

We will meet our guide about 15 minutes before the start of the course near Polpenazze on the Brescia side of Lake Garda.

We will start with 30 minutes of theory to learn the basics of cartography and compass operation, with a hint on GPS, travel diary and coordinatometer. We will then move on to the practical part of more than 3 hours in the woods doing simple exercises and then progress to more challenging ones.

We will make our own techniques for finding, reaching or setting an arrival at a predetermined point, both in coordinates and visually on a topographical map. We will then learn the importance of reading a map when walking in nature and we will delve into thegps interface, triangulations, azimuths and distances.

The route will be simple and without great differences in altitude to test us without tiring us too much and will take place in a designated area in the Garda hills. During the activity we will be able to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Lake Garda.

At the end of the activity we will return to the starting point in Polpenazze, after about 4 hours of experience in total.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone over the age of 14. Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult .
