Do you like rafting but would like a raft all to yourself, to ride the waters of the river and be in total control of the boat? Then you must try the packraft!
The packraft is a single dinghy that is more agile than the classic rafting dinghy. It is perfect for those who have already mastered paddling and want aneven more adventurous experience.
A packraft descent on the Lao river is a fun and safe activity, a way to discover the Pollino National Park without giving up a touch of adrenaline!
What we will do
The meeting point is the rafting centre in Laino Borgo, in the province of Cosenza. On your arrival, you will meet the guides and be given thenecessary equipment. After that, you will reach the embarkation point on the Lao river by shuttle bus.
Before starting the descent, you will be given a briefing on the use of the packraft and safety rules. Then you will enter the water, each aboard his or her packraft and with the instructor following the whole group. You will face a simple course, with small jumps and rapids that will raise the adrenaline level but always remaining safe.
The route is about 4 km long and the activity will last a total of 2 hours. At the disembarkation, the shuttle bus will take us back to the rafting centre.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 6 years of age (younger children will go on the packraft with a guide). It is preferable to have already done some rafting descents.
Other information
This activity is available from April to October, depending on the weather and the river's hydrometric levels, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people.
The rafting centre has anarea equipped with a swimming pool, camping site, camper van, barbecue and dog area. After booking, you can contact the centre directly for more information on extra services.
Minors must be accompanied or present anauthorisation signed by their parents.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
