Hop in the saddle and get ready to experience Naples like never before: on horseback, with Vesuvius as your backdrop!
Set off with us from Somma Vesuviana for a scenic horseback ride. In about an hour and a half, you will explore the Vesuvius National Park in a new and exciting way, seeing the bustling city and the blue sea of the Bay of Naples from above.
Experience the mountains as a rider and in the company of a majestic and trustworthy animal like the horse!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking in Somma Vesuviana (NA). After welcoming us, the equestrian guide will introduce us to the ranch and accompany us to the stable to get to know our four-legged companion.
Before climbing into the saddle, we will be explained how to ride a horse, how to approach the animal by empathising with it, and how we should behave during the ride. We will learn the basics of American riding and, after a few practice rides, we will be ready to go.
We will ascend in altitude to explore the Vesuvius National Park, from which we will also be able to admire the city of Naples and the blue sea embracing the coast.
It will be an easy and very scenic walk of about 8 km, during which the guide will lead us through the woods and paths that branch off along the slopes of Vesuvius. Finally, we will return to the ranch to dismount from the horse and say goodbye to the guide who accompanied us on this one-and-a-half-hour ride.

The activity is aimed at everyone from 14 years of age. No horse riding experience is required.

The activity takes place all year round, every day.
Attention. Insurance is included and is valid for one year. In order to register, it is compulsory to communicate the required data to the guide well in advance (you will receive his contact details by e-mail with the booking confirmation).
There is free parking on site. The ranch can be reached by public transport. A shuttle service (included) is available to get to the ranch from the nearest stations. Please contact the organisers at the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail to request this within 48 hours of your experience.
American-style riding is adopted, while the gait will be predominantly pacing.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
