Full description

It's not every day that you get to meet an almost 100-year-old 'Veronica' - let alone a boat!

Get ready to board an exciting adventure, crossing Lake Garda on an ancient sailing ship that has participated in historic regattas, such as the one organised by Gabriele D'Annunzio.

Gently pushed by theOra, Garda's most famous wind, you will spend 2 hours sailing from coast to coast, discovering castles, bays, small islands and waterfalls. All you have to do is leave: now!

What we will do

We will meet in Malcesine, 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Here we will be welcomed by thecrew and get comfortable to begin our relaxing sailing tour on board Siora Veronica, a historical boat built between 1926 and 1927. The boat was used for several regattas, including one on 6 July 1930, organised at Riva del Garda by Gabriele D'Annunzio. The 'Veronica' is one of the two survivors of the original fleet of boats on the lake, which has come down to us after an excellent restoration.

Buoyed by the Ora wind of Lake Garda, we will reach the Bay of Val di Sogno to admire two of the most beautiful islets of the entire lake, namely theisland of Val di Sogno and the island of Olivo, also known as the island of Love.

With unfurled sails we will proceed towards the Brescia shore to reach the Forra waterfalls, a spectacle visible only from the water. Here we will make a brief stop to admire the panorama at its best, after which we will resume sailing towards the Veronese shore.

We will pass under the castle of Malcesine, a medieval fortress that is the symbol of the area, and in front of the Palazzo dei Capitani, a historic building erected between the 13th and 14th centuries.

Accompanied by the sounds of the wind and nature, we will then return to port after a 2-hour tour.
