It’s not every day you come across encounters like this: yet Rio, Mojito, Cocco, Kiri, Sally and many other parrots are waiting for you in Salice Salentino, to meet you in person!
During this experience, you’ll enjoy breakfast with a traditional pasticciotto, learn about the characteristics of this colourful species of bird and have the chance to interact with them directly, accompanied by a guide!
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Salice Salentino (LE). Our guide will be waiting for us at the farmstead and will give us a brief introduction to the experience.
We’ll start the day with a tasty breakfast of brioche or traditional pasticciotto, accompanied by coffee and fruit juices, whilst we watch videos about the history of the farm and the world of parrots.
After this convivial moment, we’ll get to the heart of the experience with a close-up encounter with the macaws: Rio, Mojito, Cocco, Kiri and Sally. The guide will share interesting facts about the different species housed at the farm, their characteristics and their habits.
We’ll be able to interact directly with these colourful animals: we’ll watch them fly freely, let them perch on our hands or shoulders, and we might even get a little kiss from them.
After our time with the parrots, we’ll have time to stroll around the farm and observe the horses and birds of prey on the premises, immersing ourselves in the tranquillity of the Salento countryside.
The activity will last approximately 3 hours in total .

This experience is suitable for everyone aged 2 and over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
