Full description

The Amalfi Coast is a place of incredible beauty, unique and world-famous for its brilliant colours and breathtaking views overlooking the sea. With a guided trek from Agerola to Positano you can discover it in all its splendour.

The Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods ) is a famous route, so called because it takes place between sky and sea, in the midst of fantastic nature and full of magnificent views, so beautiful that they were reserved for the gods, according to Amalfi legend.

An AIGAE environmental guide will lead you along the Coast, among the scent of lemons and Mediterranean vegetation. The blue of the sea will be a constant presence at your side and all you have to do is enjoy this earthly paradise in complete relaxation.

What we will do

We will meet in Agerola (NA), a town located 600 metres above sea level, with a wide view of the Amalfi Coast. There our guide will be waiting for us and we will begin our walk following the mountainside and passing through terraces of vineyards.

Immersed in the typical Mediterranean vegetation, we will face some uphill and downhill sections on steps and rocky terraces, which are short and never too challenging. We will stop several times at the most panoramic spots to take photos and enjoy the viewpoint.

We will walk for 6.5 km with a difference in altitude of around 270 m along a moderately easy but rough and uneven path, enjoying views of the sea almost the entire time.

Towards the end of the walk we will arrive in the small hamlet of Nocelle, a picturesque village overlooking the bay of Positano. Here the guided tour will end and we can decide whether to rest and have lunch in a local trattoria (not included, to be paid locally) or continue down the 1700 steps of the famous staircase that leads directly into the centre of Positano, which is another hour and a half walk away.

Alternatively, from Nocelle it is possible to reach Positano by bus, which leaves from the car park about once an hour. For the return trip from Positano to Agerola, it will be possible to use the boats to Amalfi (April to October only) or the SITA public service buses, first one from Positano to Amalfi, and then another from Amalfi to Agerola. Bus transfers are not included in the cost of the excursion.

The duration of the activity will be approximately 3½ hours.
