Private airship flight over the River Piave and breakfast

If someone suggested you take a trip along the Piave, you’d probably think of a boat. But no: you fly in a airship!

A real ‘ ’ – a giant of the skies – with an open cabin offering views of the landscape and the River Piave flowing beneath your feet. And the most incredible part? You can book the entire airship for yourself and four other people to enjoy a 40-minute private flight over one of the most captivating river landscapes in the Veneto region.

You’ll be able to enjoy the view whilst sitting in comfort, take photographs and observe every detail as the airship glides slowly through the sky. Now that’s an adventure worth telling!

What we will do

The meeting point will be just before dawn at the take-off point in San Michele di Piave (TV).

On arrival, you’ll meet the pilot, who will accompany you and your group as you discover this incredible craft. You’ll be able to watch the airship being prepared and take part in a pre-flight briefing, during which you’ll receive the necessary instructions to ensure you enjoy the experience safely.

Once everything is ready, you’ll take your seat and fasten your seatbelt. Unlike in a hot-air balloon, on the airship you’ll travel comfortably seated, secured by seatbelts, inside an open cabin that allows you to enjoy the view without any windows.

Then comes the moment you’ve been waiting for: take-off! You’ll begin flying over the River Piave, following its course and observing from above its characteristic gravelly stretches, water channels and the vegetation along the banks.

The beauty of flying in an airship lies precisely in the pace of the journey: you’ll have plenty of time to observe your surroundings, make out the details of the landscape and take photographs from a perspective you’re unlikely to forget. And there’s another unique feature: the airship is a steerable craft, capable of following a set route. The flight will follow a circular route, bringing you back to the take-off point.

After around 40 minutes in the air, you’ll return to the ground, where you can watch as the airship is deflated and round off the experience with a light breakfast featuring canapés, fruit juices and prosecco. An extraordinary adventure, from start to finish!

Including preparation, the briefing, the flight and the final toast, the experience will last a total of around 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is suitable for everyone aged 12 and over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The experience is also suitable for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility, as passengers remain seated and secured with seatbelts throughout the flight. Other information

The experience is available all year round, weather permitting. The flight is private and reserved for your group of up to 5 participants.

The time indicated at the time of booking is approximate: the actual time is adjusted according to the season and the time of sunrise. The pilot will confirm whether the flight is feasible in the days leading up to the experience or, if necessary, by the evening before. The meeting point is determined based on wind conditions and will be communicated as soon as possible, usually 3–4 days in advance. Whether it can be reached by public transport depends on the chosen location.
