Private hot air balloon ride over Piana di Sibari

You will witness a true panoramic spectacle, flying over the largest plain in Calabria, squeezed between the Ionian Sea and the Pollino mountains. On board the basket, just you, the pilot and whoever you want to take with you on this unforgettable journey.

What we will do

We will meet near Sibari, in the province of Cosenza, at a point selected by the pilot according to the winds at the time (the address will be communicated to us the day before the activity).

The experience will begin with the first stages of preparing the hot-air balloon, in which we will witness theignition of the burner and the great blaze that inflates the balloon. Then, after a safety briefing, we will board the basket and wait for take-off.

We will fly for about 1 hour carried by the wind, following a unique and unrepeatable path that is decided by the direction of the currents. Below us we will have the Piana di Sibari, the marvellous cradle of Magna Graecia, a fertile and luxuriant land, squeezed between sea and mountains.

The landing will be followed by a pleasant toast accompanied by typical Calabrian products. Finally, we will be given a souvenir flight certificate and will be driven back to the initial meeting point by the organisation's vehicles.

The activity will last about 3 hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is easy and suitable for everyone from 8 years old and up (with a height of at least 130 cm). To fly in a hot-air balloon, you only need to be in good health. The only restrictions are for pregnant women, those suffering from serious illnesses incompatible with flying, and those with mobility problems in their lower limbs.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point about half an hour before the departure time.

This activity is exclusive and is intended for private groups of 2 to 8 participants. It can be carried out all year round, subject to weather and wind conditions.

The flight takes place in the early morning hours or at sunset to take advantage of the best currents. The day before the activity, the pilot will confirm the meeting time and give you the exact address for the meeting point.
