Private hot air balloon ride in Terra delle Gravine nature park

In the province of Taranto lies a little-known but full of surprises land, the Terra delle Gravine. Discover it and admire it from above with an exciting hot-air balloon flight.

The natural park is a treasure trove of biodiversity, containing many traces of ancient civilisations and characterised by large karst canyons caused by erosive phenomena, which today provide a habitat for many animal species.

You will fly carried by the wind and enjoy the panoramic journey from a privileged perspective. The hot air balloon will be all for you and the people with whom you wish to share this fantastic experience!

What we will do

The meeting point for the activity will be in the province of Taranto, in an area close to the Terra delle Gravine natural park, which will be selected a few days before the flight, depending on wind conditions (the address will be communicated to you directly by the pilot).

Upon your arrival, you will witness the preparation of the hot-air balloon, the lighting of the burner and the bursting of the large flame that inflates the balloon. You will then have a briefing on behaviour and safety rules and take your place on board the basket to prepare for take-off.

The hot air balloon will rise in altitude and begin to fly, propelled by the wind, in its direction and at its speed. As you look out from the basket, you will be able to admire all the charms of the Terra delle Gravine, the rock settlements, archaeological sites, karstic canyons and nature that is home to numerous animal and plant species.

The flight will last about 1 hour and will end with a soft landing followed by an aperitif of local products and the presentation of theflight certificate.

In total, the activity will last about 3 hours and will end with the return to the initial meeting point.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 8 years old and up (with a height of at least 130 cm). To fly in a hot-air balloon, you only need to be in good health. The only restrictions are for pregnant women, those suffering from serious illnesses incompatible with flying, and those with mobility problems in their lower limbs.

This activity is exclusive and is intended for private groups of 2 to 8 participants. It can be carried out all year round, subject to weather and wind conditions.

The flight takes place in the early morning hours to take advantage of the best currents. The day before the activity, the pilot will confirm the meeting time and give you the exact address for the meeting point.
