Climb into the saddle of a quad bike and enjoy driving through the trails of the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Reserve!
With our quad bike tour, you will tackle a 1.5-hour itinerary of fords, dirt tracks and technical passages to fully enjoy driving the quad bike and the beautiful natural landscape.
Once out of the woods, the off-road adventure will turn into a food and wine experience, during which you can indulge in a tasting of 4 glasses of wine and lots of goodies based on typical local products!
What we will do
The meeting point is 30 minutes before 15:30 at the meeting point in Scarlino (GR). After a short briefing in which we will be given all the information about the route and the operation of the quad bike, we will climb into the saddle and set off.
The first part of the route will be on an asphalt road, which will allow us to test driving the quad bike more easily. We will then reach Pian D'Alma, our gateway to the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Reserve. This is a 9,000-hectare protected area that owes its curious name to the custom in times gone by of holding auctions for the sale of portions of the forest. Today, the area is a kind of paradise of fragrant Mediterranean scrub.
And it is precisely from the Bandite di Scarlino that our off-road adventure will begin! Driving on off-road trails, we will immerse ourselves in the Mediterranean maquis. Along the way we will enjoy unforgettable scenery and have fun between moderately technical passages, fords and climbs.
As we leave the woods, we will be greeted by the view in the distance of Scarlino Castle, which dominates the medieval village from a height of 230 metres, and we will head towards theLa Pierrotta farmhouse . We will then take a short tour of the winery, during which we will discover a few little secrets of winemaking.
We will then enjoy a tasting of four glasses of wine and typical local products (included). We will stop at the farmhouse for a pleasant hour, with which we will conclude our tour in relaxation.
Between the briefing, quad bike tour and tasting, the activity will last about 3 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
Drivers must have a valid B licence. Passengers must be at least 7 years old.
The experience is at an easy level and suitable for a first experience of riding a quad bike.
Other information
The tour is available from March to October, subject to weather conditions. The staff will check the forecast in advance in order to warn participants in good time about the feasibility of the tour.
The activity is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 2 participants. There are 5 two-seater quads available for a maximum of 10 participants including drivers and passengers.
It is necessary to inform the staff in advance also in case of any food allergies or intolerances, in order to allow for appropriate changes to the menu.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, but free parking spaces are available nearby.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
