Rafting Adventure on the Adda River in Valtellina

Get ready to experience the maximum fun that the Adda river has to offer with a rafting descent of a thousand emotions: rapids, obstacles, stretches in the current, games and water tests to make your experience truly unique!

Awater adventure combining sport and play in the magnificent scenery of Valtellina, where nature and the mountains reign supreme and amaze with their breathtaking landscapes.

In the company of experienced instructors, you will master the waters of the river even in the most impetuous stretches and at the end of the descent you will have only one thought in your head: when to do it again?

What we will do

The meeting point for the activity is at the rafting centre in Castione Andevenno (SO). First we will be welcomed by the instructors, form the group and be given theequipment to wear (wetsuit, life jacket and helmet). After that, we will move by shuttle bus to the point on the river from which we will embark on our adventure.

Before boarding the rafts, we will have a detailed briefing on the rules of behaviour and safety to be maintained throughout the activity. The basic techniques of rafting will be explained to us, as well as the rules of the games and trials we will be playing. Then everyone will take their places, off we go!

The stretch of river on which we will be navigating will be of varying flow, so we will be able to experience both the power of the rapids and navigation in calm waters. But what will really make the activity unique is theplayful and adventurous aspect. During the course, in fact, there will be aquatic tests, diving and swimming in the current, races between dinghies, slalom between obstacles and other fun games suitable for young and old, designed by the instructors according to the abilities and needs of the participants! All in the name of maximum fun and complete safety.

The activity lasts a total of 2 hours, and ends with the return to the rafting centre where hot showers and changing rooms are available.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of medium/easy level and open to all as it is adapted to the characteristics and level of the participants. No specific skills are required and it is not necessary to know how to swim, just have a good aquatic ability. The activity is aimed at groups, couples and families with children aged 12 and under.

Attention. Please arrive approximately 45 minutes before the start time of the activity.

This activity is bookable from April to September, subject to weather and environmental conditions. In April and May , the activity is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants, and from June to September with a minimum of 2 participants (if you don't reach the number, you may be joined to another group, subject to availability).

The activity may be subject to change depending on the river's hydrometric flow rate, at the instructors' sole discretion.

On request, it is possible to combine the activity with a wine tasting in a local wine cellar at a cost of €25 per person (payable locally).

The shuttle service is available for a maximum of 15 participants. Larger groups will have to provide their own transport.
