Rafting Fun on the Adda River in Valtellina

Discover a beautiful corner of nature in Lombardy and enjoy taming the rapids of the Adda river, immersing yourself in the stupendous scenery of Valtellina. With this rafting descent, you will experience the adrenalin rush and emotions of this discipline to the full, even if it is your first experience.

With the help of expert guides, you'll learn the techniques for navigating the raft in total safety and experience half a day of sport, nature and fun. And if that's still not enough excitement for you, you can dive into the waters of the river and swim across to the opposite bank, experiencing the thrill of swimming in the current.

What we will do

We will meet at the sports field in Tresenda, a hamlet of Teglio (SO), directly on the Adda riverbank. We will get to know the guides and the rest of the group, we will be provided with all thenecessary equipment, and we will have a briefing on the safety rules and behaviour to be observed during the activity. Afterwards, ready to get on the rafts, we will set off on an adventure!

We will perform an intermediate-level descent, suitable for those who are rafting for the first time but don't want to miss out on theadrenaline and excitement of this sport. During the course we will alternate between eventful stretches, where we will test ourselves by challenging the impetuous rapids of the river, and calmer moments where we can contemplate the surrounding nature, dominated by forests and mountains.

At some specific points, we will be able to leave the rubber dinghy to dive into the uncontaminated waters of the Adda, and those who wish can try their hand at swimming in the current from one bank of the river to the other, or experience the thrill of challenging a third-degree rapid with their free body. All this, under the watchful eye of the instructors, who will ensure maximum safety at all times.

The activity has a total duration of 2 hours, of which 1 hour and 40 actual hours will be spent on the river. At the end of the descent, we will be taken back to the rafting centre, where we can relax and, if necessary, continue the day in the beautiful Valtellina nature.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is at an intermediate level and is open to everyone from 8 years old and up. Also suitable for those with no rafting experience, it requires no special swimming skills other than good aquatics.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.

This activity is bookable from April to October.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Recommended clothing

• swimming costume
• trainers or neoprene socks (no sandals, slippers or flip-flops)

Don't forget to bring

• towel
• spare shoes
• sleeping bag (if you stay overnight at the rafting centre)
