Playing the role of the protagonists of La dolce vita has never been so easy. All you have to do is hop aboard a legendary vintage Vespa (or a modern scooter, if you prefer) to start your 'getaway'!
Whether you choose a half-day or full-day rental, the timeless charm of two wheels will accompany you along the scenic roads between Pienza and Montepulciano.
An experience to be lived at least once in your life, to discover the Val d'Orcia from top to bottom!
What we will do
The appointment is at the time indicated at the meeting point in Pienza (SI) . You will be welcomed by the rental staff , ready to hand you the keys to your Vespa.
Before setting off, you will attend a technical briefing: if you choose the vintage Vespa or the Lambretta (125cc or 150cc) , you will need to familiarise yourself with the manual knob gearbox and clutch. If, on the other hand, you prefer a more relaxed ride, you can opt for a modern, automatic Vespa Scooter or the silence of the electric version.
Once you're ready, you'll receive digital maps to consult various recommended itineraries: you won't have any binding routes, just valuable suggestions for discovering villages such as Montalcino or heading for the relaxing natural spas of Bagno Vignoni and Bagni San Filippo.
You will have the opportunity to take iconic photos and to stop wherever you like to admire the panorama of the Val d'Orcia, crossing the Crete Senesi between winding roads surrounded by cypresses and golden hills.
When booking, you can choose between a half-day (5 hours) or full-day (10 hours) rental. At the end of the rental, you will have to return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and hold a B licence. There is no age limit for passengers, provided they are able to travel safely in the back seat of the vehicle.
Driver and passenger may swap driving during the tour as long as both meet the requirements and have valid documents.
Other information
Rental is available all year round.
Important: fuel is excluded from the fee and will be payable on return according to actual consumption. A deposit of €500 by credit card is required to guarantee the rental.
The price is per Vespa; the fee includes the rental, RCA insurance and 100 km.
Dogs up to 9 kg can be carried on board by hiring a special backpack available at an extra cost of €5. 00.
A picnic basket with 1 bottle of wine can be added on request (€50. 00) . A pick-up service is also available at hotels / facilities in the area: contact the organiser at the contact details you will find in your booking confirmation email for more information.
There is free parking on site, which is also suitable for buses. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
