If your dream has always been to learn to ride, now is the time to make it come true with a riding lesson in Massarosa, which will familiarise you with an ancient and extremely fascinating sport.
Accompanied by a certified instructor, you will learn how to sit in the saddle, handle commands and also how to prepare the animal. The lesson is suitable for adults and children and can be customised according to the age and experience level of the participants.
What we will do
The meeting place is in Massarosa, in the province of Lucca.
On arrival, after the usual introductions, you will beassigned horses and the necessary equipment for the lesson, which will take place partly on the ground and partly in the saddle. It will be a private lesson, just for you and a small group of friends or family.
For children up to 6 years of age, the lesson will focus on games in the saddle: the horse will always be held on the rope by the instructor who will make him or her do small circuits. From age 7 and up, the instructor will instead walk in front of the horse and the child will be taught basic handling manoeuvres. A small slalom and gymkhana course will be done in order to make the young rider autonomous.
For adults, on the other hand, the part on the ground will cover the preparation of the horse, while in the saddle they will work on the main commands for communicating with their animal and on rehearsing the various gaits.
The lesson lasts an hour in all.

The riding lesson is suitable for everyone, especially beginners who want to learn the sport.
The minimum age required to participate is 3 years. Up to the age of 14, the presence of an accompanying adult is required.
Other information
The riding lesson is available daily, all year round, and is intended for private groups of up to 10 participants.
The lesson can last up to 1.5 hours in the case of groups of more than 4 persons, due to the time required to prepare the horse.
Saddles for English or American riding are available; for beginners, American riding is preferred.
