River Trekking "Ghost Valley" on the Sarca River (TN)

Fun, adrenaline, excitement and nature. These are the ingredients of the "Ghost Valley" river trekking route on the Sarca river. An experience that will allow you to fully experience the beauty of this valley in Trentino.

River trekking is an exploratory practice of river environments that mixes amazement and fun. Unlike canyoning, there are no vertical abseiling with a rope, but thrills are guaranteed thanks to natural slides, plunges into crystal-clear pools and ascents of rapids and eddies against the current.

The guidance of our experienced instructors and the use of appropriate equipment make this activity safe and suitable for everyone. It will literally be an immersion in the nature of the Sarca Valley, which will make you have fun and excite you like a child. In the end, you'll look forward to repeating it!

What we will do

We will meet up near Lake Cavedine, in the province of Trento. Having formed the group (from 2 to 15 participants) and met the guide, we will begin with a briefing on safety regulations and progression techniques. We will be given thenecessary equipment and finally approach the Sarca river, in one of the most beautiful and evocative stretches of the entire valley.

The river trek will consist of following the course of the river, walking within the flow of water or in the immediate vicinity of its bed. Depending on the characteristics of the group, the guide will decide whether to take the route against the current or vice versa, for greater simplicity. In any case, excitement and fun are always guaranteed!

We will encounter rapids and whirlpools, we will face obligatory passages through some natural islets, jumping from one boulder to another, and those who wish can dive off the rocky spurs that overhang the river. We will let ourselves be carried away on toboggans, natural slides carved by the water into the rock, and it will be all a succession of splashing, excitement and laughter, until we end on a high note with a breathtaking rapid!

The experience lasts a total of two hours. At the end, we can decide whether to continue the day in good spirits by having lunch all together in a local restaurant (lunch is optional and not included in the participation fee).

Who it is aimed at

This activity is at an easy level, open to anyone with good aquatic skills and a desire to have fun! The minimum age to register is 6 years (if accompanied by parents) or 12 years (if parents do not participate).

Other information

The activity can be booked from April to October and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.

The canyoning guides' office is equipped with changing rooms and a car park.
