Get ready to take a natural shower under a waterfall!
This is what awaits you when you participate in our river trekking experience in the Pollino National Park: in the company of an Environmental Hiking Guide, you will venture into the scenic setting of the A Jumarella stream to discover flora and fauna.
An experience of over 3 hours, immersed (literally) in nature!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Viggianello (PZ). Awaiting us will be the Environmental Hiking Guide and Official Guide of the Pollino National Park, who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will hand over our equipment and get dressed. We will then board the shuttle bus provided by the organiser to reach the venue, just a few minutes away. Once at the destination, a briefing in preparation for the activity will take place, during which we will receive all the useful information for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready to venture into the waters of the A Jumarella stream, in the beautiful natural setting of the Pollino National Park. We will enter this canyon: we will pass pools and cross gorges until we take a natural shower under a 10-metre high waterfall! In the meantime, the Environmental Hiking Guide will not fail to tell anecdotes about the flora and fauna of the area.
The route measures 5 km and the walking time is 3 hours. At the end of the route, we will board the shuttle bus provided by the organiser to return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 3½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
It is not necessary to know how to swim in order to participate.
The route is of an easy level and suitable for a first experience of river trekking.

The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
Duration and itinerary may vary according to hydro-weather conditions and participants' abilities at the guide's discretion.
Dogs are not allowed.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
