Full description
It's time to get out of bed... to tackle a river bed! We are waiting for you in Roccacasale, near Sulmona, to undertake a fun river tubing activity together!
On board your tube, a small single-seater donut, you will challenge the current of a tributary of the Sagittario river with helmet, life jacket and paddle, in the company of a guide.
Glide for 50 minutes along small drops and exciting descents: at the end of the activity you will just want to get back on board!
What we will do
We will meet in Roccacasale (AQ), in the centre of Abruzzo, a stone's throw from Sulmona and other renowned destinations such as Gran Sasso and Majella.
After a brief theoretical briefing we will don helmets and life jackets and, armed with paddles, we will walk to the point of entry into the water. Climbing aboard small rubber dinghies called tubes, similar to small single-seater donuts, we will begin the activity, letting ourselves be carried away by the current.
In groups of up to six people, we will slide down a tributary channel of the Sagittario river, 2.5 m wide and shallow. During the descent, the tubes will always be close together, almost touching, with the guide in the lead and any children in the middle.
The 3.5 km descent will take us through the Abruzzo countryside, with small differences in height every 200-300 metres, which will add to the fun adventure.
We will return to the meeting point by shuttle bus after 1.5 hours of activity, including 50 minutes in the water.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of an easy level, also suitable for non-swimmers from the age of 8 .
Minors must be accompanied by a parent.
The minimum height required is 1.50 m.
Other information
The activity can be booked every day from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.
The activity is conditional on the guide's assessment of whether the hydrometric conditions of the canal are suitable.
Toilets and changing rooms are available at the meeting point. There is a private car park and a bar kiosk nearby, where any accompanying persons can stay for the duration of the descent.
It is advisable to leave any valuables in the car.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
