Discover the beauty of the Pollino Park and enjoy close contact with nature with a double activity, river walking and rafting, to get to know all sides of the Lao river.
Our expert guides will take you on a route inside the river bed and , after walking for a while with your feet in the water, you will get on the rafting dinghy to continue the journey to the end.
Afun experience for the whole family, to share a joyful and carefree moment in a unique natural setting. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet at 10 a .m. at the rafting centre in Laino Borgo, in the province of Cosenza. We will meet the guides, receive thenecessary equipment , and move by shuttle bus to the starting point of the river walking route.
This is a walk inside the river bed, with our feet in the water and the opportunity to observe aquatic animals up close. Together with the guide, we will discover the flora and fauna that characterise the place, for a fun, instructive and exciting experience for adults and children alike.
After about an hour's walk, we will arrive at a point on the river where other guides with rafting rafts will be waiting for us. Here the water level gets higher and our excursion will continue on board the rafts.
The rafting route is simple and suitable for everyone, with small rapids that will give us that touch of adrenalin that is inevitable in any adventure in nature! At the end of the route, we will disembark and return by shuttle bus to the rafting centre. The activity will last approximately 2 hours in total.

This activity is at an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 4 years old and up. No experience is required to participate, just being in good health.
Other information
This activity is available all year round, subject to weather and river hydrometric levels, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people.
The rafting centre has anarea equipped with a swimming pool, camping site, camper van, barbecue and dog area. After booking, you can contact the centre directly for more information on extra services.
Cliff shoes for river walking are included in the price, but the centre has sizes 34 and up. Those wearing a smaller size will have to bring their own shoes from home.
Minors must be accompanied or present signed parentalauthorisation.
