Full description
This experience is an opportunity to spend half a day in nature with the whole family!
The natural setting of the Farfa Reserve will be the backdrop to your adventure: you will experience the thrill of riding a horse for the first time and learn the main survival techniques during a survival course. All this in the company of qualified instructors, who will pass on all their passion and knowledge for their discipline.
At the end of the activities, a home-made lunch will be waiting for you to share with your fellow adventurers!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before 09:30 at the meeting point in Montopoli di Sabina (RI). We will be welcomed by theriding instru ctor and themaster survival instructor who will accompany us on this adventure!
The first part of the experience will be dedicated to the world of horse riding and will begin with an initial approach to the horse: we will get to know this fascinating animal better, experience its everyday life and interact with it in a respectful manner. Once we have gained confidence, we will proceed with the saddle christening: one at a time, we will experience thethrill of riding a horse inside a ring in the company of the instructor. This part will last one and a half hours.
We will then greet our animal friends and continue the experience with participation in the survival course. The instructor will introduce us to the main survival techniques: how to light a fire, how to drink water, how to build a shelter and many other useful notions for surviving in the wild. This part will last one and a half hours.
At the end of the activities, we will gather at the table for a homemade lunch (included) made with local products. The menu will generally include a first course and side dish, accompanied by water, wine and coffee. All in the setting of the Farfa Nature Reserve, which will be the backdrop to this half-day family experience!
The experience will last a total of 5½ hours, ending at 15:00.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 4 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult participating in the activity.
The activity is of an easy level, suitable for a first horse riding experience and a first survival experience.
Other information
The experience takes place throughout the year on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed when a minimum number of 6 participants is reached.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
The duration of the experience may vary depending on the number of participants.

The membership is valid for one year: you may return for the experience or other experiences offered by the same instructor without paying this cost again.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
