Full description
Sailing with full sails, swimming into a cave, admiring the panorama of Polignano a Mare: these are just some of the things you will do on this 3-hour sailing tour from Monopoli.
Under the guidance of the wind, you will assist the skipper during navigation, explore the Grotta Palazzese and dive into the 'blue painted blue' of Polignano, the birthplace of Domenico Modugno.
Not without first enjoying an aperitif on board!
What we will do
We will meet in Monopoli (BA), 10 minutes before the time chosen during the booking process.
The skipper will welcome us on board his sailboat with a glass of prosecco and give a briefing explaining the stages of the excursion, which may vary according to weather and wind conditions.
Once out of the harbour, we will be able to actively participate in the experience, assisting the skipper in running the boat and adjusting the sails. We will stop outside the port of Monopoli to admire the view of the imposing walls of the Carlo V castle and take a few photos.
We will then sail for an hour in the direction of Polignano a Mare: on request, we can make a bathroom stop about halfway along the way. Once in Polignano, we will stop in front of the Grotta Palazzese, which we can visit by swimming or reach with the SUP available on board. The stop will last between 30 and 45 minutes.
At the end of the swim we will re-board the boat for an aperitif (included) with bruschetta, mozzarelline and various cold cuts. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available during the tour, including wine, beer and prosecco, orangeade, Coca Cola and water.
After the aperitif we will turn back to Monopoli. The tour will last 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is suitable for everyone, with no age limit; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible, but it is possible to take on passengers with reduced mobility. If you require assistance, please contact the skipper after booking confirmation.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round, every day, with a minimum of 2 participants.
You will travel aboard Ariel, a 13 m long, single-masted sailboat with a full teak deck, toilet, hot water for showering, sockets for recharging mobile phones, shaded area, tables, refrigerator and large sun deck at the bow.
In case of food allergies or intolerances, please inform the skipper in advance at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.
After booking, contact the skipper to communicate your personal data necessary for boarding.
The meeting place can be reached by public transport or by car, with parking available nearby.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
You will be barefoot on the boat.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
