Full description
Learn to sail and spend a different day on the beaches ofArgentario, in the province of Grosseto. Experience the sea from a new perspective and discover a fascinating and fun sport.
Together with our experienced instructors, you will tackle theory and practice for a day entirely dedicated to sailing, where you will perform your first manoeuvres in complete safety.
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 9:30 a.m. at the meeting point in Orbetello (GR). We will be welcomed by the instructors and, after registration at the school and an acquaintance briefing, we will begin the day's sailing.
The groups will consist of students of the same level and the programme will be established according to everyone's needs. We will begin with a theory lesson, in which we will learn the basics of navigation and wind theory, which is fundamental in all sailing sports.
After that, you will board the dinghy to begin the practical part with a test of starts, tacking, tacking, jibing and direction changes. All this and more can be covered during the course, depending on the experience and ability of the group. Groups will be formed according to the level and age of the participants.
In total, the course lasts 8 hours, including a 2-hour lunch break where we can all eat together at the beach restaurant at a reduced price (lunch is paid for by the participants).
Who it is aimed at
This activity is open to everyone, aged 4 and up. No previous experience is necessary.

Attention! The meeting point is about 11 km (14 minutes by car) from the centre of Orbetello.
This activity is available from April to November, weather permitting.
The drift boats used for the activity start from 3 metres in length and are of different types, single or group. The instructor decides which boat to assign to the student, depending on his or her level and age.
Lunch is not included in the price. You can choose to have lunch at the beach restaurant or eat a packed lunch.
