Discover Bossi Castle in Castelnuovo Berardenga on a guided tour: an unforgettable journey combining millennia of history with a guided tasting in the cosy wine bar, where you’ll sample the estate’s own Sangiovese-based wines from its Tuscan vineyards.
An exclusive food and wine experience, where you’ll sample no fewer than three different wines, accompanied by extra virgin olive oil and a delicious platter laden with bruschetta, cured meats and local cheeses!
What we will do
The tour takes place at the selected time at Bossi Castle in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena, set against the stunning backdrop of the Chianti region. You will be met by your guide, who will welcome you with a refreshing glass of flavoured water before leading you on a tour of the estate.
You’ll start straight away with a tour of the historic cellar, a fascinating journey full of anecdotes during which you’ll admire the majestic tower dating from 1099 and the historic courtyard decorated with the family crests. During the walk, you’ll see the barrels where the Chianti Riserva is aged up close and stroll through the rear of the castle, between the lemon house and the splendid vineyards of the Gran Selezione. You’ll hear fascinating historical insights into the property’s 15th- and 16th-century heritage, which are directly linked to the wines produced here.
You will then take your seats to begin the private guided tasting. The guide will explain the characteristics of three ‘tasting’ glasses of 100% Sangiovese, vinified exclusively in stainless steel to bring out the full expression of the terroir:
- Morellino di Scansano DOCG from the Terre di Talamo winery
- Chianti Classico DOCG produced directly at Castello di Bossi
- Rosso di Montalcino DOCG from the Renieri winery.
The explanation will be fully tailored to your level of interest, ranging from a simple introduction to a highly technical analysis.
The wines will be expertly paired with our own olive oil and a local platter featuring bruschetta, cured meats and selected cheeses.
The experience will last approximately one and a half hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over. The wine tasting is for adults only.
Any accompanying minors and non-drinkers who do not wish to take part in the tasting may participate in the experience free of charge or purchase a non-alcoholic drink on site.
The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users; however, there is one step at the entrance to the historic wine cellar.

The experience runs all year round and is guaranteed to go ahead with a minimum of 2 participants, up to a maximum of 6 people for private tables. Larger groups of up to 40 people are permitted upon request, provided this is made at least 2 weeks in advance: please contact us to submit your booking request.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances: please contact the venue using the details provided in your booking confirmation email well in advance to let them know your requirements.
Dogs are permitted during the activity, provided they are well-behaved and kept on a lead.
Free on-site parking is available. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
