Whether you’re Team Breakfast or Team Aperitif, it doesn’t matter.
Join us on our hot-air balloon ride in San Marino: accompanied by an experienced pilot, you’ll experience the thrill of flying over the hills and medieval villages of the Valmarecchia. All at sunrise or sunset, when the landscape is bathed in warm hues.
An experience lasting around 3 hours, with breakfast or an aperitif included!
What we will do
We’ll meet 5 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in the San Marino area. Once there, we’ll meet the pilot who’ll be taking us on this adventure!
On arrival, we’ll watch the spectacle of the balloon being inflated: we’ll admire the hot-air balloon slowly taking shape before our very eyes, whilst enjoying a light breakfast or a tasty aperitif. This will be followed by the pre-flight briefing, during which we’ll receive all the information we need to ensure a worry-free experience.
And there we are, ready to take our seats in the wicker basket and… take off! The balloon will rise gently from the ground and, in no time at all, we’ll be flying over San Marino and the surrounding area: the view stretches from the hills to the medieval villages of the Valmarecchia, all the way to the sea of the Romagna Riviera. The flight route varies depending on the best weather conditions, making every flight unique! The hot-air balloon flight lasts approximately 1 hour.
Finally, we’ll land gently at the designated spot, step out of the balloon and board the organiser’s transfer to return to the meeting point. The experience will end with the presentation of your ‘first flight’ certificate and a glass of local wine!

Who it is aimed at
To take part, you must be at least 110 cm tall and weigh no more than 130 kg. Please note! If you weigh more than 115 kg, please contact the organiser using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know your weight.

The experience is suitable for those who suffer from vertigo: flying in a hot-air balloon is very different from looking out from the top of a skyscraper; the movement is extremely slow and smooth, and almost none of the passengers experience any sensation of vertigo.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed once the minimum number of 4 participants has been reached.
The meeting point, meeting time, route and duration of the flight vary according to the best weather conditions, at the pilot’s discretion.

Dogs and other animals are not permitted.
It is not cold at altitude: the burners heat the air inside the balloon and the temperature above the basket is generally 6–8°C higher than outside; at 500 metres, the temperature drop compared to ground level is just 3°C.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
