Step into the shoes of a shepherd for a day at the foot of the Cansiglio Plateau: accompanied by a guide, you’ll lead the sheep to pasture and experience the thrill of transhumance through the hills of the Treviso foothills.
A 3½-hour experience that will reconnect you with nature!
What we will do
We’ll meet at 09: 00 at the meeting point in Osigo di Fregona (TV), set amongst the hills of the Cansiglio Plateau.
On arrival, we’ll be welcomed by one of the farm’s owners, who’ll also be our guide for the day. After a brief introduction to the farm and its farming and cultivation methods, we’ll walk to the pasture.
Together with the guide and his ‘helper’ – a very friendly yet disciplined Border Collie – we’ll round up the sheep for the transhumance, taking them out to graze for about an hour in the meadows of the Treviso foothills.
This will be an opportunity to rediscover the rhythms of nature and the balance of an ecosystem in which people, animals and the surrounding environment all play a key role.
We’ll then return to the farm to answer any final questions and satisfy your curiosity about this craft – as important as it is ancient – which is essential for safeguarding mountain areas at risk of abandonment.
The experience will last a total of around three and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is recommended for those aged 10 and over. Children under 18 may only take part if accompanied by a responsible adult.
This activity is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.

The experience is available from March to November ( we recommend taking part in spring or autumn) .

Dogs are not permitted during the experience.
The venue is not easily accessible by public transport; there is a free private car park on site with a charging point for electric cars.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
