Full description
Unleash your thirst for adventure and get ready to discover the unspoilt nature of the Sila National Park on a powerful quad bike!
You’ll ride along dirt tracks and through picturesque woods, led by an expert guide ready to take you on a breathtaking journey through the stunning scenery of the Sila Plateau in Calabria.
A 2-hour experience that includes a delicious pit stop for an aperitif halfway through the route!
What we will do
We’ll meet in Cotronei (KR), in the heart of the Sila National Park, 10 minutes before the scheduled time . We’ll start with a brief introductory briefing , during which we’ll be shown how to operate the quad bike. Straight after that, we’ll be ready to set off on our adventure!
We’ll set off from the base of the ski lifts and head straight into the heart of the dense woodland that forms the boundary of the Sila National Park. Riding along dirt tracks, we’ll reach the Crocifisso, a disused chapel featuring a cross resting on a bronze turbine, next to the ruins of an ancient monastery.
We’ll continue the route for about a kilometre to see the Testa di Tagina, the valley from which the river that feeds the Calusia hydroelectric power station has its source. Halfway through the route, we’ll stop for about 30 minutes to enjoy a delicious aperitif with a platter of cold cuts and cheeses.
At the end of the break, we’ll get back on the quads to return to the starting point, having covered about 15 km. The activity will last a total of 2 hours, of which 1½ hours will be spent riding the quads.
