Explore one of Catania 's unique natural bays and dive into its crystal clear waters on a snorkelling tour led by expert instructors.
Discover the life that lurks beneath the surface of the water and, armed with mask, fins and snorkel, prepare to spot the creatures that inhabit the seabed.
You will access the sea directly from a ladder on the cliff. Nothing could be easier for you to dive into this amazing adventure!
What we will do
The meeting point for the activity is at Camping Jonio in Catania. We will be welcomed by the instructors who will provide us with everything we need to snorkel and, after a brief introductory briefing, we will immediately be ready to enter the sea via a ladder on the rocks.
Together with the instructors we will explore the bay, discovering shoals of salps, octopuses and starfish hiding among the lava rocks. We will swim enveloped only by the sound of the waves and will feel as if we were suspended in another dimension.
We will enjoy one and a half hours of fun and relaxation in contact with the sea, remaining afloat on the surface of the water to scrutinise what is happening below!
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to everyone from 4 years old and up. It is not necessary to be an experienced swimmer, but it is sufficient to be able to stay afloat and have good water skills.
Other information
The activity is available from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants .
Included in the price is a complete snorkelling kit (mask, fins and snorkel) and, in colder periods, a wetsuit.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
