Embark on an exciting snorkelling tour in the Tuscan Archipelago and discover the hidden wonders of the marine park ofGiannutri Island!
You will embark at Porto Ercole and experience a day of relaxation and discovery in the middle of the sea. You will swim in the crystal-clear waters between the island of Giannutri and the Cetacean Sanctuary.
You will be welcomed by the staff on board, with breakfast and lunch included in the experience.
What we will do
We’ll meet at 8. 00 am on the seafront at Porto Ercole (GR): after getting our kit ready, we’ll have a brief introductory briefing during which we’ll be told the day’s programme, which we’ll be following alongside a group of divers. We’ll then board the boat to begin our day’s snorkelling in the Tuscan Archipelago. We’re due to set off at around 9. 00 am.
On board, we’ll be welcomed with coffee, tea and pastries to enjoy whilst we sail. From the sea, we’ll take in the sight of the Spanish fortresses of Porto Ercole and sail past the coves and most picturesque spots along the Argentario coast.
After about 50 minutes at sea, we’ll reach the island of Giannutri and the Cetacean Sanctuary, prime spots for spotting dolphins. Watching them leap out of the water will be an experience we won’t forget in a hurry! Meanwhile, the guides will tell us about the island’s history and the features that make this marine protected area one of the most important in Italy.
Once we arrive at the first dive site, we’ll have a briefing on how to use masks and fins correctly and find out which fascinating creatures await us underwater, then we’ll dive independently to enjoy exploring the underwater world.
As we sail towards the second mooring point, we’ll be able to enjoy a selection of bruschetta prepared by our staff, as well as sandwiches, fresh fruit and drinks. Then we’ll dive back into the crystal-clear waters, making sure not to forget our masks and fins.
To round off the tour in style, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch on board featuring three of the skipper’s speciality first courses (vegetarian options available) , accompanied by wine and coffee.
We’ll return to Porto Ercole after around 8 hours: a day entirely dedicated to the sea and the thrills of snorkelling.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is easy and open to everyone, with no age limit. The only requirement is to be able to swim.
Other information
Attention. Participants in the snorkelling activity will share the boat with participants in the diving activity.
The snorkelling tour on the islands of Giannutri and Argentario takes place every day from May until September. Please note: destination and dive spots may vary depending on marine weather conditions.
The excursion takes place on board a 17-metre boat that can carry up to 25 people, equipped with a sunbathing area, deck area, kitchen, dinette and toilet.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
