Full description
Snowshoeing in the Apennines? Of course you can!
If you love snow and want to spend a different day, don't miss this snowshoe hike to Lake Scaffaiolo, in the Corno alle Scale Regional Park.
A guide will lead you along a beautiful 10 km itinerary, immersed in silence and embraced by the unspoilt nature of the Park. The view of the whitewashed Lake Scaffaiolo will leave you speechless!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Lizzano in Belvedere (BO). We will be welcomed by the guide, who will hand us the snowshoes to wear for the hike and give us a briefing on the activity.
The route we are going to take will be about 10 km long and will have a maximum altitude difference of 350 metres. We will walk for about three hours on fresh snow, following the guide, who will accompany us to discover this wonderful, white landscape.
We will be immersed in the unspoilt nature and magical silence of the Corno alle Scale Regional Park: what we will hear will in fact only be our steps with snowshoes on the freshly fallen snow.
We will make several stops to admire enchanting mountain scenery and snowy panoramas that will leave us breathless. Along the way we will reach Lake Scaffaiolo, located on the slopes of Mount Cimone, which is completely frozen in winter.
The experience lasts a total of 5 hours, 3 of which are actual walking time.
