Did you know that in Abruzzo there is a place where you can embrace the sea and the mountains in a single glance?
We are waiting for you on the Maielletta for a snowshoe hike with unforgettable views. In the company of an environmental excursionist guide, you will immerse yourself for about three hours in the beauty of the Maiella National Park.
From the snow-capped peaks to the Adriatic Sea on the horizon, every glimpse will be photographed!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Passo Lanciano (CH). Awaiting us will be the Environmental Hiking Guide, ready to lead us on this adventure in the snow!
We will receive snowshoes and poles and take part in a short introductory briefing . Then we will begin our snowshoe hike at an altitude of 1, 550 metres, moving along a ring-shaped itinerary that runs along the Maielletta.
We will be walking on high-altitude slopes near the ski facilities, in an area where snow abounds and offers picture-postcard scenery. We will cross a beech forest, which will give us a magical, muffled atmosphere.
We will reach vantage points at the foot of the Maiella, from where we can admire the snow-capped peaks and the Adriatic coast at the same time. On a clear day, our eyes will even catch a glimpse of the Tremiti Islands and the peaks of Le Marche. The route will be about 5 km long with an altitude difference of 200 metres, with no exposed sections or overhangs.
We will finally return to the starting point after completing the loop. The experience will last a total of 3 hours, with approximately 2 hours of actual walking.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 6 years of age. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The itinerary is of an easy level and suitable for a first snowshoeing trip.
Other information
The excursion is bookable from January to March and is confirmed with a minimum of 5 participants.
Duration and itinerary may vary depending on snow and weather conditions and participants' abilities, always at the guide's discretion to ensure maximum safety.
Dogs may participate, but must be on a leash.
In the absence of snow, the guide reserves the right to propose the activity as a trek without snowshoes or to move the excursion to a nearby location with more snow.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
